I spotted a granite hitching post on Voorhees Ave. in North Buffalo. You really don't see these in this part of town.
Bollards of Buffalo
Welcome to my Bollards of Buffalo Blog. Bollards come in many shapes and sizes and are used in many different locations to control the flow of traffic, protect buildings and other structures, they are also used in harbors to tie up marine vessels. I will be posting on a regular basis but not every day. I will be searching out all areas of Buffalo in the coming days. I will also post photos that are not Bollards but will be historic or interesting. I hope you will enjoy the Blog.

Ship Canal Bollards 2
Here are some bollards that are popping out of the flower bed on this curve leading to the Ship Canal. A very nice industrial looking bench is placed on the boardwalk behind the protective bollards.

And now for something completely different...
I stopped by a car show down at Canalside on Sunday and grabbed some nice photo's. I'm not a car expert but these were pretty cool.

More from Silo City
Here are a couple of pics I took at Silo City. The first is a railroad bumper, the trains used to back up to the silo and get loaded with grain. The other is a group of run of the mill bollards protecting some transformers behind the chain link fence.

Queen Annes Gate
I just wanted to feature another gate that is great looking and still functional. This is Queen Annes Gate on West Ferry Street, this is a private street with two houses on it.
