I traveled down to Silo City for the Boom Days Festival. I grabbed quite a few photos of the interior and exterior of the grain elevators. Also a few hidden bollards along the way. Here is a quick video of the inside where a band was playing. I will be posting more in the next week or so.

Here is a very odd looking bollard that is protecting a corner of a building owned by Alp Steel on Roseville St. It looks like someone built a form and just poured concrete into it to create a bump out on the corner.

Here is a picture I took last fall, looks like these three bollards have seen better days. These are on Wadsworth St.

I have no idea what these are or where they came from, my best guess is they were part of a wall or building facade from a demolished structure. Well anyways they look pretty cool, no mistaking the entrance to this driveway on Elmwood near Summer.

Here is a super sized hitching post I found on lower Linwood. It is the largest one I've seen in Buffalo, it is about 4 feet high and very thick. It looks like the original loop is still attached. It appears that it is carved out of sandstone.

Here are some new bollards installed on Hanover St. These are actually reinstalled streets in the original layout from the 1800's. Everything in this area was bulldozed years ago, now it is part of the Erie Canal Harbor redevelopment. These bollards blend in quite nice with the area.

Simple but effective, just some ugly old pipes set into the sidewalk to protect a gas meter. This is on Amherst near Elmwood.
