While driving down Ganson St. I noticed the Manistee lake freighter unloading sand onto the Sand Supply Co. dock along the City Ship Canal. It is a self unloading vessel and can empty it's load in about 12-14 hours. After I parked I took a picture of this bollard that is wedged between a railroad line and a truck dock. This picture doesn't do it justice showing it's size. It was over 6ft tall and looks like it was pounded into the ground with a crane sledge.
