Here is an area I visited earlier in the blog. It is Towpath Park. It follows the original route of the Erie Canal Towpath. Little did I know there was a lot more history associated with this strip of land. This is where a raiding party embarked from to invade Canada. The Fenian Raid of 1866  left here from the old Pratt Ironworks that was located along the canal. At the top we have a nice bike rack, next a marine bollard on the seawall and after that a nice set of bollards protecting the walkway. Finally a plaque telling the story of the raid. To bad the seagulls had their way with it.
